Here in Trutnov and its neighbourhood there are very varied offers of sport entertainments during each yearly season. In summer months the Krkonose Mountain is the ideal place for hiking or mountain biking. Snezka or Cerna Hora in Janske Lazne is the mountain worth to be visited; a paragliding offer can be used. 25 meters covered swimming pool and modern open-air swimming pool with spiral chute, at distance only 1 km from the Pension, as well as Retropark Sejfy in Mlade Buky, are ideal places for swimming.
Near Trutnov there are three golf courses. The nearest golf course, being famous for its nice view-points on the surrounding countryside, is located in Mladé Buky. There is also newly installed summer bobsleigh track. Nová Amerika is further well known golf course, where visitors encounter 27 master holes and 18 public academy holes. Small uphill course is operated in Prosečné at Hostiné.
In Trutnov favourers of indoor sports can enjoy their leisure time in the skittle alley on the training mountain climbing wall, alongside with the ricochet court or fitness centre.
During winter you will have opportunity to try several winter ski running treated tracks of various difficulties around Trutnov region. There are tens of slopes in the ski-parks like Jánské Lázně (15 km), Pec pod Sněžkou (25 km), Žacléř (10 km) or Mladé Buky (7 km). Many of them are equipped with snow guns and many of them offer possibility of evening skiing. Transport across Trutnov is performed, free of charge for skiers, by season ski-buses, with stop-station about 200 meters from the Pension. The Pension Pohoda cooperates with the MARKID ski region.
